Building Permits

The City of Gilman currently utilizes a third party to issue and validate all building projects within city limits.

Building applications should be submitted directly to City Hall. The City Clerk will then pass the application to the building inspector for approval to ensure all parties are informed.

General Info

Below is a generic workflow for the building permit process

  1. Building Permit Application is submitted to City Hall
    (Standard Fee Applies)
  2. Permit Application is reviewed by Building Inspector
  3. Permit Application is approved by Building Inspector
    (Additional Fee and guidelines are applied)
  4. Building Permit Fee is paid to Building Inspector
    ( Drop off at City Hall )
  5. Building Permit is issued and work can begin
