County Road 3 is now open. The road remains gravel but is open for public transit. Detour signs have been removed outside of city limits.

Sanitary sewer installation has been completed on the West end of County Road 5.

Additional concrete ‘Flat-work’ is scheduled this week that includes sidewalks between the intersection of CSAH3 and CSAH5 to the church. Some work near the intersection will remain pending as soft spots in the soil continue to dry.

Utility poles are scheduled to be moved this week. East Central Electric is scheduled to be onsite on Tuesday 2025.09.30 to move poles inward on County Road 3.

    Current Recommended Route of Egress

The intersection of 103rd Ave NE and CSAH 5 will be available intermittently. County Project Coordinators and Contractor Personnel recommend using Fern Rd. as a Primary Route of Egress.

    A Look Ahead

At the moment, crews and county are unsure if Storm Basins and Culverts will be delivered this week for the West Section of CSAH 5. If materials are delivered as expected, Storm system work will continue on this section. If deliveries are delayed, asphalt removal of the East section will commence. Residence with a shared mailbox bank on this section can expect the bank of mailboxes to be moved East, past the cemetery for mail delivery ease of access.

Paving of CSAH 3 is tentatively scheduled for Oct 6th. A base layer will be poured this year with a finished layer poured next spring.

Boring of sanitary pipe beneath HWY25 is scheduled for Oct 8th.

Curb on CSAH5 West is anticipated to be at least 2 weeks out. Reasonable expectations is possibly the week of Oct 20th.

    ——————————————-

Pavement tear off begins this week on the West end of CSAH5 followed immediately by Sanitary pipe system installation.

CSAH3 continues to face moisture challenges on the North end delaying progress on some areas. The city and county have decided to install geo textile fabric to ensure integrity of the newly constructed road moving forward. However, curb and concrete installers continue to experience difficulties.

Access to 103rd Ave NE has been impacted and no longer accessible from CSAH5. Please use alternate routes and Fern Rd. as a point of egress.

The city and crews are hopeful for a base pavement date of Oct 2nd for CSAH3. We appreciate everyone’s patience as work continues.
